Abstract

In a targeted survey, 297 coffee, 510 juice and 267 tea samples were analyzed for pesticides. No pesticides were found in any of the coffee samples. 99.6% of the fruit juice samples and 75% of the tea samples did not contain any pesticides. All positive results were followed-up by the CFIA and appropriate follow-up actions were taken. It was determined that the levels of pesticides in all positive samples were not expected to pose a human health concern to consumers.
