Abstract

In a targeted survey, 1646 samples of fresh leafy herbs were analysed for E. coli O157, Salmonella, Shigella, Campylobacter, and generic E. coli. 2 samples were found to be contaminated with Salmonella and 4 samples had unsatisfactory levels of generic E. coli. Investigations of these findings resulted in 2 product recalls.
